This below happened two weeks ago, the men doing the killing and stealing of dogs are wanting revenge or money, yesterday a bastard threw poison into the dog shelter my dog her name was puppy and her other name was (Mrs Smith) my little darling i had her for three years, ate all of it saving 40 dogs a horrible death she died last night in agony , ,we are so sad...... the photo's of the dogs your asking about are of Lolita she was adopted just recently, we still have the other her name is Goldi, and she's looking for a family. These men have been feeding live dogs to crocs here in java!!! re this we need a questionaire for tourists going home to say how they feel about the dogs or more so the horrific, absence of care animals here or a petition.... we need to force the govt to put laws in place....We can start here in bali,............
I live in bali have for ten years,I am originally from Melbourne....
two nights ago myself and friends found 50 dogs in small wooden boxes
already adult dogs chained chokingly, up inside the boxes....they
couldn't move their heads and they couldn't stand to relieve
themselves. I told the guy he had to release the chains and went to
the police they said that i had to wait till morning to see if these
thugs had a permit.... to take them to java for food i expect... i
am repulsed by this behaviour, a vet came with us in the morning and
she called the office where you have to apply for this permit, she
put the phone down saying that they cannot get a permit....and so we
released all the dogs, they had been bought from the village next
door and would find their way home. These thugs are now harrassing
some of us they want a lot of money...... they are apparently
allowed to deal out this sort of cruelty whenever they like ... we
have footage on camera and on stills.... can
you suggest any way of bearing pressure on the govt(eg can we have
this footage published in Aust on television in newspapers, and
othere countries..... this sort of coverage could stop the Govt in their track of giving out permits ( WE NEED WATCH DOGS SET UP) to look
at this and to protect us from these disguisting cowards....also I
have a Refuge and Adoption center i have set up in the last 5 months
for street pups here the job is never ending and so is the heart ache
... Please help asap. Thankyou Linda Buller, 3/6/07, Bali... my e mail ...

HELP THE STREET DOGS IN BALI:-
BALI'S DOGS MAKE WONDERFUL PETS AND COMPANIONS WHEN TREATED WITH KINDNESS AND CARED FOR PROPERLY. THEY ARE LOYAL AND AFFECTIONATE.
At the moment, many run semi-wild in the streets and lanes of Bali. They have terrible looking skin diseases, many are completely without hair. Others have open, suppurating wounds crawling with maggots etc. and others have missing limbs and shocking injuries either through accident or otherwise.
Assisting these animals and educating others to care for them does something to improve our humanity and 'civilness' as well as improving the lot of these dogs.
The Bali Dog Shelter is located in a 'semi-rundown' former art gallery: "Galeri Sembilan" located in the ( local district ) Banjar Abiansemal in the village of Lodtunduh, UBUD, Bali. It has been set up and is run by former Australian: Linda Buller, a well known painter in Bali.
Linda's heart has gone out to these wretched animals over the past ten years. She has rescued and cared for hundreds of them. Linda has 10 ( or more ) as companions and currently cares for 30 more in her shelter which she funds with sales from her paintings. She is a tireless worker in her efforts to rescue these dogs from their plight of starvation, abuse and neglect as well as to educate the Balinese to care more for their animal companions on this earth.
Apart from moral and physical support, Linda also needs financial support to continue this work. She works with the Bali Street Dog Foundation as well as the World Society for the Protection of Animals. These groups assist her in providing local vets to carry out life saving operations as well as sterilizations.
All help is greatly appreciated. Contact Linda on +62 0361 7904579 0r +62 0818 550947 or email: balidogshelter@yahoo.com
